News
The main news list is a combination of both original and aggregated content. It also includes reader contributed news.
The list can be ordered either by Date or by Relevance. If you choose to order it by Relevance, we apply a Post Relevance
Sorting algorithm, which lists the news based on a combination of popularity and date.
Also included on the news list page are recent comments, topic tags, upcoming stories as well as search capability.
Locally Informed uses a 3-step approach to the news production process. Starting with Un-Approved, then Upcoming and finally
Popular. For more in detail, check out the Getting Started Videos.

Local Knowledge Pages
The information section of Locally Informed consists primarily of Local Knowledge Pages. One way to think of them is as Hyperlocal
Wikipedia pages.
If you were to post an entry on Wikipedia about the coffee shop around the corner or your favourite picnic spot, it would
probably get removed for being to narrowly focused.
Local Knowledege Pages fill the gap and provide a place to share and learn about the people, places and things in your area.

Marketplace
The Marketplace consists of two types of listings: Questions and Tasks.
A typical Question listing would be something a local could answer best. It usually involves problem solving!
With a Question - many people may post a solution, but typically only one is awarded a prize for the "Best Solution".
Tasks require a physical job to be completed. Rather than a prize, people bid on the task in order to get the work. If they're selected,
they do the work, then get paid the agreed price.
Someone who posts a task can suggest their ideal price.
A great place to quickly learn the in's and out's of the Marketplace is by watching the Getting Started Videos.
